Genkai is an old woman who is legend for her psychic abilities, and her most powerful attack, the spirit wave. She eventualy ends up training yusuke. Yusuke repeatadly refers to her as "old bitch", or "hag". But genkai is no pushover her attacks are very powerful. She at one point had relations with younger Toguro, one of the antagonists of the story.
